Wife and I stayed at the motel next door last nite. Ordered a sample plate to take back to the room to eat,it was very reasonably priced with good amount. Ate breakfast there this morning,it too was very good a reasonably price with good service. Highly recommend this place!!

Great pancakes to go on a Tuesday morning to eat in front of Becker lake where the boat dock is ramp just west of Springerville going West on US Highway 60, 180/191 Main Street S Ville But getting back to the Sapphire, where the Duke actually ate here a few times, their food is never disappointing. Don’t just eat here because John Wayne did eat here but because you are adventurous like am and so love the north Arizona White Mountains Apache County

Great comfort food. The service was friendly and fast. The server was very attentive. Enjoyed the lay back feeling of this restaurant. There very proud of the fact that John Wayne ate there. Very enjoyable experience.

A fantastic surprise along our travel. Excellent food, tried half and half chili and both were very good. Great cheerful service and a very unique Michelada straw.

We stopped and ate at the Safire Restaurant and Lounge during our trip to Arizona. The food and Service was excellent. My wife and I both enjoyed the Mexican food and wine/beer. The complimentary chips and salsa were a nice addition to our dinner.

It can sometimes be hard to find a decent restaurant in a small town. Safire is good enough to be in a big city. The menu consists of a wide variety of Mexican and American dishes, including a few cross-overs. Quality of the food is high. I had the strip steak with a loaded baked potato and salad. The salad bar is fresh and has a nice variety; they could maybe add olives, radishes, and bell peppers, but it had all the basics. The steak was excellent, done perfectly the way I ordered and served hot, along with a loaded baked potato so hot the cheese had melted. The service was top notch. Everyone was friendly, conscientious, and acted like they actually wanted to be there. One thing not big city about it is the prices. I expected to pay at least 50% more given the quality of the food. A lot of locals appear to patronize this restaurant, and that is always a good sign. Back in the day, John Wayne owned a ranch near Springerville and he ate at Safire according to signs in the restaurant. The Duke made a good choice.

This is a really lovely place. This was my first time here and the food was great. The place was neat and the staff was really friendly. The staff were courteous to split the Shrimp Plate for me and my wife in separate plates. The San Juan style Taco (fried tacoty with beef patty and veggies inside) was kind of plain without a sauce. Otherwise, the Fish and Chips and the Chicken Fajita were also nice. I felt that the portion had good enough quantity with a reasonable price. Plus, in this current situation, they even check your temperature first (which is good) and maintain social distancing in the dine-in table arrangement. Overall, I would say it's a must try.

Tonight was the first time we've visited. Everything was great. The service was wonderful, the food was very, very delicious and plentiful portions! I brought some of my chimichanga home. They have some of the best guacamole I've had! My husband loved his fajitas. My daughter said her French Dip was really good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and laid back.
